Bred for speed. Trained for stamina.
Breeding
‘Old School’ quarter-mile speed is evident in all of our mares’ bloodlines. No need to print off extended pedigrees because top race bred sires are listed on our broodmares’ registration papers: First Down Dash, Top Moon, Jet Deck, Reb’s Policy, Streakin Six, Cassady Casanova, Beduino, Bugs Alive in 75, Sail on Bunny and more. While bloodlines are a good indicator for the desired qualities in a foal, it all boils down to the two most important individuals: The stallion and the mare.
When selecting a stallion, we ask ourselves: “What strengths can we enhance in the melding of these two equines? Does it provide us with our primary basis of speed and our long-term goal of stamina?” Fortunately, we have been very pleased with the results. Our foals have been healthy, hardy, intelligent and willing to learn.
If speed drives our horses bloodlines…training commands our horses future. Training begins on day one. Personality, behavior, health, and growth are all monitored on a continuous basis to determine the required training necessary for optimal success. Each foal receives handling every day with grooming, halter breaking, hoof care, trailer loading, bathing, etc. The first year of life is a continuous process of handling to understand the foal and his or her potential.
We design training programs for each horse according to his or her maturity level, allowing each horse to develop the staying power necessary to succeed in and out of the arena.
